Farmers Protest: Temporary suspension of internet services in some parts of Delhi-NCR

The Central Government Tuesday ordered the temporary suspension of the internet services in Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri, Mukarba Chowk, Nangloi, and adjoining areas of Delhi from 12 in the afternoon to 12 midnight on January 26 in view of the law and order situation on account of farmers protests.

MHA Order.

An order to this effect has been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to the Delhi Police Commissioner.

The order has the authorization of the Union Home Secretary.

The order states that "in the interest of maintaining public safety and averting public emergency it is necessary and expedient to order the temporary suspension of internet services in the areas of Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri, Mukarba Chowk, Nangloi and their adjoining areas in NCT of Delhi."
