Kerala High Court suspends two officials for staging play mocking PM Modi and the Union government

Two officials have been suspended for a play, staged in the Kerala High Court auditorium on Republic Day, that used a "cow dung" jibe against supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi without naming him, as per the alleged audio of the event.

ON Republic Day, the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court suspended two officials for staging a play that allegedly had derogatory content against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union government.

The two suspended officials are assistant registrar Sudhish T.A. and court keeper (higher grade) Sudheesh P.M. The function was held in the high court's auditorium.

Chief Justice A.J. Desai has also called for a detailed explanation from the registrar (administration) as to the circumstances in which the incident took place.

The registrar (vigilance) has been asked to conduct a detailed inquiry and submit a report.

As per the news portal Verdictum, the skit mocked and ridiculed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the policies of the Union government.

As per reports, complaints were filed by Bharathiya Abhibashaka Parishad and Legal Cell Ernakulam.
