Gobble D. Gook cannot but admire our Grand PM’s latest grand plan of installing ‘Justice Clocks’ in all our High Courts even though it is possible that it is just another instance of his great ability to create an illusion about bringing about radical changes in administration without actually changing anything!
These clocks are supposed to indicate the backlogs of pending cases in each court and track the speeds of disposals of every judge or Bench in the country.
Presumably, some Analytica somewhere may have indicated that such visual reminders will shame or shock many judicial snails to metamorphose into crabs scurrying across the hallowed sands of law.
No doubt it will be an interesting gimmick.
The Media as well as all graduates of ‘University of WhatsApp’ will love this time pass..and of course the cost of setting up of all this infrastructure will boost Digital India!
There is another hidden benefit too..
Punters like Gook can start laying bets on their favourite judges “winning” daily disposal races without having to leave the corridors of the courts and travel to racecourses.
