WHEN next you go to vote
A precaution minimal
Which you must not forget
Is vote for human, not animal

For it has often happened
In the post-election farces
That the ones you voted for
Have turned out to be horses

These horses can fly high
Besides being up for sale
Their jockeys keep changing
And therein lies a tale

It is a tale told in secret
So none outside will know
These horses ate money plants
Hoping that money will grow

What recourse do you have
Except to let out some gas?
Don't even think of courts
The Law is an Ass

You may feel disappointed
Your faith in elections fading
But the horses you've elected
Are enjoying the horse-trading
