On Day 4 of the hearing in a batch of petitions challenging the August 5, 2019 decision to put an end to the autonomy guaranteed to Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) under Article 370 of the Constitution, senior advocate Gopal Subramanium began his arguments by terming Article 370 as a medium through which the Indian Constitution spoke to the Constitution of J&K.
