For all that is ailing our nation
Only milords cannot be blamed
Rotten apples are everywhere
Why are only milords shamed?
The fault is in the system itself
Where sycophants are rewarded
Dumb and docile are preferred
And the activists are discarded
Few past milords were brilliant
To assert authority fewer dared
Majority toed the status quo-line
Of repercussions were scared
Without power of purse or sword
Their orders they cannot execute
So milords fret, fume and fulminate
Or give lectures which sound cute
Let us not glorify the past milords
Most have kept getting it wrong
Judiciary has only been powerful
When Executive was not strong
