Our judiciary needs help
It is looking so helpless
A once impregnable edifice
Seems a crumbling mess
After the publicity and hype
Of former Big Chief hero
Credibility of some milords
Is hovering close to zero
On slow and dull milords
Objections seldom erupt
Reputations travel fast
Of those who are corrupt
Daily the apex milords say,
"It shocks our conscience
When laws are disobeyed."
To us this makes no sense.
Who is in the court for law?
All gamble here for a win
Sums spent to roll the dice
Are not considered a sin
In this era of T-20 cricket
What's needed are sixers
No takers for date takers
Clients prefer quick fixers
If things continue like this
Outnumbered by crooks
Good guys will sit at home
And 'Rule of Law' rot in books.
