Milord's mood was ebullient
His wife was vacationing away
The cat was at her mother's
And the mouse had room to play!
Suddenly house help vanished
Amid the shortage and strife
Milord, as he washed the dishes
Fondly remembered dear wife!
So Milord wanted her back
And Milord pulled some string
His minions willingly obliged
A driver was despatched to bring
Unfortunately at the border
Milord ran out of luck
Lockdown rules were enforced
And Milord's missus was stuck!
The life of the law is experience
Which is different from the rulebook
So while his wife enjoys her break
Milord toils as sweeper-cum-cook!
