If wishes were horses
Beggars would be kings
At this fanciful thought
An imaginary bell rings..

If politicians were dogs
They would be faithful
And not switch sides
Even for the best bag full

If the law was an ass
Donkeys would be milords
Carrying burden of arrears
Not moving despite prods

If bureaucrats were rhinos
They would have thick skin
Most genuine applications
Would land in the dustbin

If reporters were parrots
They would be very bold
Not faithfully regurgitate
Whatever they were told

If lawyers were cheetahs
Speed would be an instinct
All cases stand disposed off
And their tribe itself extinct!
