Tinkering

Tinkering

The conduct of a lawyer
Made everyone frown
More so because he had
That coveted senior gown

With finger pointing at him
He shifted blame on junior
More to save his own skin
Than out of remorse or fear

If this guy was an employee
They could seek resignation
Milords decided to relook at
The system of designation!

One counsel's misconduct
An entire system can dent
And inspire some milords
To unsettle set precedent

With constant tinkering
Transparency we may lose
Returning to hush-hush days
Of arbitrary pick-n-choose!

Why complicate matters
If one cannot achieve ease?
Surely we don't need a cure
That's worse than the disease!
