To pay our Income Tax
Be good citizens first,
Then comfortably relax!
Tax-payers' money helps
Maintain a special tribe
Which has never moved
Unless fueled by a bribe
If you want any work done
There is no other way
You may be a taxpayer
But still you have to pay!
Those in power remain
Unaccountable, carefree
While you and me fund them
Indirectly too, through GST!
Sometimes some tax payers
Get a white refund back
But those who don't pay taxes
Enjoy a good life in black!
Hardly 5% file IT returns
Bleed them, if that's fine
But who will you tax after
They fall below poverty line?
