The Delhi High Court on Monday directed the Jail Superintendent to provide with necessary gadgets and an instructor to operate the computer to the prisoner who wishes to appear in his B.A. programme main examination w.e.f. July 10 and as well as mock test series, which will be conducted online.
This followed an interim bail application filed by the prisoner- Ranjeet Singh- on account of his examination for B.A programme, which is to be held from July 10.
Justice Suresh Kait observed that “last year also, petitioner had prayed for interim bail on the ground of examination and he was allowed to take exam while in custody vide order dated 22.05.2019”.
The court also took note of the fact that the admit card has been issued to the petitioner for the Open Book Examination of BA-III year.
