PM-headed committee approves Sameer Khare as Exec Director ADB and Rajesh Khullar as Exec Director World Bank

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) Monday approved the appointment of Sameer Kumar Khare as the Executive Director, Asian Development Bank, Manila.

Khare, a-1989 batch IAS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre is presently posted as an Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs.

The ACC also approved the appointment of Rajesh Khullar as Executive Director, World Bank Headquarters, Washington DC, USA.

Khullar is a 1988 batch IAS officer from the Haryana cadre and is presently serving as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Haryana.

Both Khare and Khullar will hold their new assignments for a period of three years.

The ACC is chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Home Minister Amit Shah its member.
