[dropcap]T[/dropcap]HE Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani today informed the Lok Sabha that her ministry had requested the National Gender Centre (NGC) at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie to include gender sensitization training and capacity building of all stakeholders, including the judiciary, for effective implementation of policies, legislations and programmes designed for women's safety, protection and security at the ground level..Also, read: The Indian glossary of gender justice.The minister was responding to a question by Member of Parliament from the Indian National Congress, Shashi Tharoor. Tharoor had asked the following questions from the Central Government:.(a) whether the ministry had proposed to undertake gender sensitization programmes for judicial officials at all levels in consultation with the respective Chief Justices of various States and the Chief Justice of India;.(b) if so, the details thereof; and.(c) if not, the reasons therefor?.Irani added that her ministry in collaboration with the NGC had organised gender sensitization programmes during the last year for officers, including district magistrates and other officers from the judicial services..On May 11, 2018, the Supreme Court had requested the Chief Justices of all the high courts to constitute committees to address complaints about sexual harassment at the workplace in light of the Supreme Court's decision in Vishaka & Ors. v.
