THE Gujarat High Court Tuesday ordered no coercive action against an Indian Air Force(IAF) personnel in Jamnagar who was served with a show-cause notice for termination of service after he refused to take the Covid19 vaccine..A bench of Justices AJ Desai and AP Thaker passed an order to this effect while issuing notice to the IAF and the Central Government..Petitioner Yogender Kumar, an IAF corporal, contended that the decision of the IAF to cancel his services for refusing to take the vaccine was against the guidelines of the Centre on the vaccination. Besides, it violated Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution..Kumar added that he had the right to receive treatment of his choice and that vaccination cannot be forced upon him as it would be violative of individual choice..The matter will be heard again on July 1.
