Yashwant Bhave is a 1972 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He has wide experience in industry, finance, infrastructure, technology, corporate governance, privatisation and economic regulation. After retiring from the government of India as secretary, consumer affairs in 2019, he was appointed as the first chairperson of the newly established statutory body Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India for five years, where he built up the organisation and established the framework for the economic regulation of airports.
