Shubhra Sotie is an environmental lawyer and researcher who has been working closely with forest departments, public prosecutors and the Judiciary across India for capacity building to mitigate wildlife trafficking. She conducts legal research on the applicability of the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 and other conservation laws. Currently, Shubhra is specialist, wildlife research and policy at Humane Society International/India.
