Law-merick: When the MiLords were at the Baron’s bash

[dropcap]G[/dropcap]obble D Gook is tickled by the current revelations spilling out about the inimitable Vijay Mallya.
Politicians who were very friendly with this hospitable gentleman at one time are now busy trying to un-friend him from even their memories.

What luck no one has bothered to probe into his good relations with the many Milords of the land.

Once upon a time, a Milord from a neighbouring State strayed into Gook’s favourite High Court as its Chief Justice so that he could relax and enjoy the good times for a few months before he was ready to be placed as a decoration on some Commission post-retirement.

He did it in style by fixing the annual Chamber Meeting of all the Milords of the Court at a nice beach town instead of at the polluted Principal seat. And the Airline selected by the Lords to ferry them there belonged to the most hospitable of all liquor barons in the country.

Barons and Lords have always been close historically, even in the country from whom we flicked most of our laws. Nothing wrong in that!

Gook is reminded of that Big Bash when he reads stories of the beleaguered Baron almost everyday.

This Lawmerick commemorates those bygone days, before memory fades.

LAW-MERICK

Their Lordships had flown to the beach for a bash
Courtesy the King of Good Times, so loud and brash

It was a Chamber Meeting
At a nice pool-side setting

Their spirits were so honourable, no one touched cash.
