ISN’T it very surprising that
People are filing PILs still
Especially as they are made
To swallow quite a bitter PIL(L)..
Not so long ago PILs
Were so convenient to file
But nowadays we find
Milords becoming hostile
PILs are hardly genuine
Espousing a true sorry tale
Many are used as weapons
Of extortion and blackmail
Rules were therefore made
To curtail their rising misuse
But that has not prevented
Malafide,motivated abuse
Real estate projects are
Softest targets for stalling
Some NGOs found in them
An employment and calling
But Milords now see through
And are using all their might
To saddle petitioners with costs
And shoot such PILs out of sight
Milords now deprecate that
PILs target corruption in retail
When everyone is well aware
That it’s going on wholesale
Why not see the larger picture
Of the illegal and unauthorised
Why target just select cases
Where rules are compromised?
