DoPT invites application for summer internship programme for undergraduates in law

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]HE Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, has invited applications for a Summer Internship Programme 2019 for undergraduates pursuing a five year integrated course in Law or graduates pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law.

The duration of the internship will be two months starting from June 15, 2019, onwards. The DoPT has decided to take a total of 20 interns for the programme. Interns will be entitled to a consolidated remuneration of Rs.20,000 and will be provided with necessary logistics support i.e., workspace, stationery and facility for photocopying.

Under the scheme ‘Improving Transparency and Accountability in Government through effective Implementation of the Right to Information Act’, the DoPT is offering short-term internships to undergraduates either in their second and third year pursuing a five year integrated course in law or graduates in their first and second year pursuing the three-year graduation course in law from a recognized University, to conduct an analysis of RTI applications in a selection of Public Authorities.

The final selection of the interns for the internship programme will be done by a Selection Committee of DoPT with the selected Public Authorities.

The applications/CV for internship should be accompanied by a recommendation letter from the University/College and self-attested copy of the identity card issued by the Institution.
